Peace is the most talked about agenda in the world today. People rather prepare for the cure and reconstruction measures after conflicts, rather than the preventive measures to conflict. Awareness arena1

Efeti's dream is to be an automotive engineer but her parents and society feel she is not suited for the job. What is expected of her is to study hard and find a job that best suits a 'Girl'. Chi on the other hand wants be a make-up artist but his parents would not have it, as their dream for him, is to be a medical doctor. These stories are not uncommon! Gender stereotypes directly affects individual expression and limits access to opportunities. This mostly begins from the home and branches off to the society- where opportunities, knowledge, and resources are open to one gender and restricted to the other. Fortunately, more people are becoming aware of this menace and the danger it poses to development in society as it constrains choices, and negatively affects people’s ability to participate in, contribute to and benefit from social, political, and economic development.   We can win this fight if we only speak out.
